Copywriter – At Auction, Flower Mound, TX, 2/11-Present
As the copywriter for the jewelry category I am responsible for creating an HTML page for each product in our inventory. Before any item gets launched on one of our three auction websites I view the piece, write one-to-three sentences describing it, edit the HTML, and send it to the schedulers to be launched. My main focus is the creative copy which allows me to write about each piece of jewelry in such a way that will entice the shopper to bid on the item.

Freelance Writer – Little Elm, TX, 3/09-Present
I was a contract writer for CBS as part of its DFW site; my articles were family-oriented and required specific formatting. I had a column on the Plano Examiner site where I wrote articles related to Twitter and social media. I have contributed on collaborative blogs such as Silicon Valley Moms (on their sub-blog Deep South Moms) and Room 704. I also write original content for my personal blog- stories about my life and as a paid affiliate for various companies.

Editor – You Won’t Go Blind, Little Elm, TX, 1/10-1/11
I performed the duties of content and formatting editor for the collaborative blog You Won’t Go Blind. My responsibilities included editing the contributors’ posts for grammar and punctuation errors as well as ensuring uniformity in regards to formatting and photo placement.

Center Manager – FedEx Office, McKinney, TX, 4/04-5/09
I began as a customer service associate and was promoted to center manager of a new location in McKinney. As a manager I was responsible for creating marketing strategies and sales pitches for my center in order to reach sales goals. I worked extensively on budgets and maintaining fiscal processes. In addition to the back office duties I assisted customers in creating resumes and other printing projects by using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs.
